Since 2006, DeLuxe Building Systems has been providing high quality military base housing to our nation’s military families. Our off site modular construction method works mutually with the military’s goal to efficiently upgrade and improve base housing. Utilizing off site construction methods that reduce noise and onsite construction waste, DeLuxe Building Systems can quickly build, set and finish steel-framed base housing that is both progressive and long-lasting.
Military Housing Project Experience
West Point
DeLuxe Building Systems contracted with Balfour Beatty Communities, and its parent company Balfour Beatty Construction, to build 158 homes, including 8 UFAS (Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards) living units, at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. The project provides housing at the Army post for Field Grade Officers and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers, and consists of 980 modular units, and over 400,000 square feet of housing. The project is scheduled to be completed in three phases, and will be finished in 2011.
Picatinny Arsenal
Also constructed in conjunction with Balfour Beatty Communities, DeLuxe Building Systems built twenty-six living units off site in our production facility for the New Jersey military base, Picatinny Arsenal. The project consisted of six, two-story living units; nine three-bedroom two-story duplexes; and one duplex consisting of a two-story four-bedroom and UFAS (Accessible) living unit.
Fort Hamilton
DeLuxe Building Systems utilized modular construction technology in our first military housing project with Balfour Beatty Communities at the Fort Hamilton Army Base in Brooklyn, New York. The project consisted of 13 garden apartment buildings with 12 three and four bedroom apartments each, for a total of 156 units and 230,325 square feet. DeLuxe manufactured customized roof boxes for each of the apartment buildings, and custom breezeways were also built down the center of each apartment building. DeLuxe also provided turnkey services for the project, completing it onsite from the foundation up.
